Whereas there are no direct Christian tenets in the Bible on earrings, society has grown to thrown a dark look on people who have multiple body piercings or even those with extra ear piercings.
This could have been what prompted Kumawood teen actress, Clara Benson, better known as Maame Serwaa, to explain why she had two earrings on.
While speaking with Ghanaian entertainment blogger, Zionfelix on is YouTube show, "Celebrity Ride with Zionfelix", the actress revealed that she was indeed an staunch Christian who wouldn't miss a day of Sunday worship service.
he show host had earlier asked whether she would shoot a movie on Sunday.
Surprised by her answer, Zionfelix probed, "Active churchgoer like you, why are you wearing two earrings?"
Maame Serwaa, who seems caught offguard by the question replied that there was an explanation for her wearing two earrings.
"When I was in school, one of my earlobe got torn in an accident", she stated.
According to her, she had no other choice than to get another piercing to avoid the strange stares she would have drawn as a female without earrings.
"You know, in our society, if you are a woman and you don't have earrings, people would start making comments that you're a man", she explained to Zionfelix.
