Sony Achiba been spotted after his long absence and he is not looking like before (Photos)


One-time Ghanaian musical sensation Sony Achiba has been spotted after a long absence from the music industry in the country it is howver uncertain if he is still pursuing his music career.

The musician is believed to be a globetrotter now and moves from one country to the other as a traveler. However, he happens to be based in New Delhi in India. He has visited many countries including Germany, the United States of America and England.

The musician is fondly remembered by his funky Indian-inspired apparel in which he appeared dressed in.

Sony Achiba came into the entertainment industry as a dancer and worked with many of the top musicians back in the day including Awura Ama Badu, Rex Omar, Frank Mensah Pozo aaand Tommy Wiredu.

He then decided to venture unto the music scene in the year 2000 when he came out with his own album. He is noted to have introduced Indian culture into Ghanaian music earning him the title, “Indian Man”. He appeared to shows dressed in Indian-inspired clothing and even had a touch of Indian voices and musical instrumentals in his music.

One of the popular songs by the musician was “Nipa Boniayefour” from the album he titled, Indian Ocean”

He was rated among the top professional dancers in the country during the early 2000’s. He was fiercely rivaled by Slim Busterr who was arguably Ghana’s best dancer then.

Sony Achiba is believed to have been born in Kumasi to J. B. Danquah and Akua Fremah. He started his primary and secondary school education in Kumasi. He also attended the Kumasi Technical Institute (K.T.I.) for a while
