MEDIA PERSONNEL ASSAULTED BY POLICE
Akyeamehene of SKYY Power FM & Star TV has been assaulted by police for questioning them why they were not wearing helmet
According to Akyeamehene who was in a sprinter van on his way to Accra, spotted the police sitting at the back of a motorbike which was been driven by a civilian friend around Archbishop Potter Girl's Senior High School in the oil city with the police Officer not wearing a crush helmet.
Akyeamehene then confronted the Police as to why he wasn't wearing helmet which got the Officer angry. The Police man then crossed the Accra bound vehicle and forced the driver to stop. The Officer together with the friend pulled Akyeamehene who was sitting at the front down and started assaulting him.
This attracted the attention of taxi drivers at Nkroful Junction who went to intervene. Fortunately some Police Officers who were going on patrol showed up and decided to take Akyeamehene, the Officer and some eye witness to the Sekondi Police Station were the matter is now been handled.
